Prosciutto and Pesto Paninis

Here is another staff favorite! A simple panini stacked with prosciutto, pesto, provolone, and thinly sliced tomato, then grilled to golden perfection. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Prosciutto and Pesto Panini

Ingredients (per sandwich):

  • 2 pieces of sliced sourdough
  • 1-2 slices prosciutto
  • 4 tablespoons basil pesto
  • 4 slices provolone
  • 2 tomato slices
  • unsalted butter, softened

Directions:

Layer your sandwich in the following order:

  • sourdough slice
  • 2 tablespoons pesto
  • 2 slices provolone
  • prosciutto
  • tomato slices
  • 2 slices provolone
  • 2 tablespoons pesto
  • sourdough slice

Lightly butter the outer slices of sourdough before grilling. You can use a panini press, cast iron skillet, or a regular frying pan. Slice paninis in half and enjoy!

I wish I could remember the first time I had a panini.
I still remember my very first grilled sandwich. My father purchased an old school sandwich press and made ham and American cheese grilled sandwiches for my brother and I when we were little kids. 🙂
I'm a fan of grill marks on my food.

Bailey’s eyes crack me up. He often gives me this bewildered look when things don’t go his way.
