This Friday we discovered another lunch spot due to Carmencita’s extensive knowledge of East Sac. This is what we do at lunch during the week–talk about what our lunch on Friday will be. We’re a very food-focused group, you see, and we don’t mess around when it comes to Friday Lunch. As Paul says, “Friday Lunch isn’t just lunch, it’s an occasion.” Truer words have never been spoken.
The Cultured & The Cured is our latest discovery and it is a sweet little spot full of artisan cheeses and cured meats. I was in fatty pork heaven. I ordered the grilled cheese with roasted mushrooms and caramelized shallots on focaccia, plus a small charcuterie plate to share. Lunch was delicious, the folks were super nice, and I was full until 8 o’clock. Now that’s what I call a filling lunch!
