A-Z Photo Project | H is for Honeybee

H is for Honeybee!

Or so I thought until a late night Google search informed me that what I thought was a honeybee is actually a bumblebee. Well now. Isn’t that just dandy?

So H is for Haha I Made a Booboo.

Now here is my picture:

It looks like a honeybee to me! I like it. I helped again, I think.

  2. I saw a bumblebee, too, but of course I couldn’t get it to sit still for pictures. How did you train yours? Lol… I just need to take photography lessons from you. πŸ™‚

    • I chased the sucker around and snapped my shutter like crazy! Good thing it didn’t get mad because I’m allergic to insect bites. Hehe.

    • Thanks, Stacey! Well, I think there are several of these projects going on, but this is one of my personal photo projects this year. I usually have at least one project that I commit to every year to push myself to improve my photo skills. Please feel free to join me if you’d like! I go through each letter of the alphabet and post a photo every two weeks. Easy peasy!

Picture is awesome like sweet honey bee and your thoughts..! πŸ˜‰

    • Photography makes me do the darndest things! Without my camera, I would have run flying into the street to get away from it!

  4. Did you take that photo?
Fuzzy with more than two legs and I’m about face running in the opposite direction.
I hope you were using a zoom lens.
    πŸ˜‰

    • Haha, yes and yes! I took this with my 105mm. Not zoom enough, but I’m a lot braver behind the lens. Anything creepy crawly normally makes me run away like a chicken with its head cut off. πŸ˜›

  5. That’s a great photo! I wouldn’t have known the difference between the bees either! πŸ™‚

    • All I need to know about bees is that I’m allergic. I usually don’t get close enough to see what kind they are! πŸ˜€

  6. Beautiful photo, and it’s all honeybee to me! Is this taken with your macro lens? The colors are brilliant and the details are so sharp. I must learn this photography thing. Have a nice day, Patty!

    • Yep, this was taken with my macro right as we were walking toward the botanical garden! You’ll have fun learning photography, Ngan. If I can do it, anybody can! πŸ˜€

  7. A bee is a bee. It’s the thought that counts, Patty. πŸ™‚ And of course great picture!

    • Thanks, Aditi! That’s what I was thinking…it’s the thought that counts…that and I had no time to bother with another “H” picture! πŸ˜‰

  8. This one is amazing Patty! You actually made the bee look cute! πŸ˜‰ So much detail…love it!!

  9. Cute little feller! I’m very impressed you were able to get such a clear, sharp shot — mine would be a blur! Love the pretty flower, too — do you know what it is?

    • No, I don’t, but I got a really neat macro shot of one beginning to bloom! It’ll be a part of my Macro Monday soon!
