    • Well, I left the part about the wind out. It was too dark in my house by the time I got home to take this picture, so I had to set up outside. The wind was blowing super hard (and of course it stopped as soon as I finished) and the parchment paper and lavender kept flying everywhere! I kept yelling at it to stop. Heheh!

  1. I love lavender! I’m dying to get my hands on some pretty lavender like this to make Bonnie’s DIY scented soaps. Gorgeous picture, Patty! Are you luxuriating in your time off?

    • I’d give you some if only you lived closer! And yes, this has been a fabulous summer. My most relaxing since I started teaching! Hey, Sue of Birgerbird and I are meeting next Wednesday! Most likely in Napa. Please play hookie and join us!!!

      • Sadly, I can’t! I have so much going on at work right now and I’m trying to go on vacation (at some point) so need to put in my hours now. Sue and I will probably meet Wednesday night for dinner in the city, though. I would totally love to see you both together — someday, it’ll happen!

      • Oh how fun!! I’ll be dropping Bailey off with my parents before we leave so I’m only free during the day on Wednesday. We’ll have to try again next time! πŸ˜€

  2. Your Lavender is beautiful, Patty πŸ™‚ If you have a lot of lavenders in your garden, I suggest you to dry the lavenders and to put them in small bags with a ribbon and put them in your closet or anywhere in the house. Squeeze the lavender bags between your hands to let the fragrance escape (family recipe). Have a nice week!

    • Thank you for the lovely idea, Linda! I have lavender oil next to my bed for when I need to calm down after an extra stressful day. I could keep the dried lavender under my pillow! And then also my classroom once school starts again. πŸ™‚

  3. Pretty in its simplicity, Patty. Coincidentally, we’re now in Bulgarian lavender country. I’m eager to stroll the fields soon, and just might be inspired to make lavender crΓ¨me brΓ»lΓ©e. πŸ™‚

Please tell me what you think!
