2017 Monthly Photo Project || July

It has been six months since my last project post. My dear friend, Laura, once told me I should skip a month and that it’d be good for me to not put so much pressure on myself. Well, Laura, I skipped six! That ought to make you proud.

I didn’t mean to skip half a year’s worth of project entries. I was in a pretty dark place after Bailey got sick and passed away. Every month I’d think about posting, but I never got around to it. I’m forcing myself to do it this month so I can get back in the swing of things and focus on what brings me joy.

2017 has been a busy year thus far. A few items worth mentioning include buying a house, getting engaged, and adopting a rescue pup. If you are friends with me on social media, then you already know about Louie the Eskichoodle. I never thought I’d get another dog after Bailey, but this little guy found his way into my world and things haven’t been the same since he came home (mostly because he’s a crazy puppy and all I’ve done this summer is monitor his pee). My heart will always ache and yearn for Bay, but I think he sent Louie to me to help me heal. I also think he sent a crazy dog because he wants to retain his status as #1 pup. Typical Bailey.

As I signed on to WordPress today, I saw a notification that today is my 4th blogiversary. I’ll celebrate with a review of some photographic highlights from the last six months. Here they are:

It has been over a year since I’ve done any food photography. I miss it and am making an effort to do more of it.

Title:  DIY Engagement Pics

I put it off until I couldn’t any longer. Shayne and I finally got our engagement photos done with the help of my maid of honor, Kim. It was 102 degrees and we were sweating bullets. Thanks for all your help, Kim! 🙂

  1. You have been gone so long, I forgot you even have a blog. Looking forward to the next month.

  2. Welcome back Patty and congratulations too! We all need to take time off every now and then – I did for 2 months to downsize, pack and move!!! Glad you have a new puppy, especially a rescue dog – Bailey would approve 🙂 The little boy does look like Bruno!

Please tell me what you think!
